DAY 1, November 29, 2020 | Delhi

Arrive in Delhi, India’s lively capital city, and transfer to your hotel – Taj Palace. Delhi is steeped in 3,000 years of history and is now a cosmopolitan metropolis filled with people from around the world. The remainder of the day is at leisure to rest after your journey.

DAY 2, November 30, 2020 | Delhi

Visit Jama Masjid, the great mosque of Old Delhi, the largest in India and the final architectural accomplishment of Shah Jahan. Enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk.

Lunch is at Chor Bizarre (Kashmiri Wazwan cuisine), located at Bikaner House.

Drive past the President’s Palace & India Gate war memorial. Later, visit Deepalaya School, which is a non-formal school for special children (Intellectual Disability, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, etc). Time permitting, guests can join the children learning paper craft.

Enjoy your Welcome Dinner with a glass of Indian wine at the hotel’s “Orient Express.” It will be an European dining experience in a unique & enchanting setting.

DAY 3, December 01, 2020 | Delhi – Agra

This morning, drive to Agra and check in at ITC Mughal.

Take a tuk-tuk ride to Agra Fort, one of the most important strongholds of the Mughals. Continue to the 17th century Taj Mahal. Often called a poem in stone, this beautiful architectural achievement is considered the world’s monument to love and one of the world’s most inspiring sights.

Later, rest at Sheroes' Hangout with a delicious cup of tea. Survivors of acid attacks run this café and promote social activism and women’s rights.

Dinner is at Peshawari, which serves Northwest Frontier cuisine, bringing alive the rustic flavors of food traditionally prepared in a tandoor.

DAY 4, December 02, 2020 | Agra – Ranthambore
Agra – Ranthambore

Visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise and watch the early morning color the mausoleum. Return to the hotel for breakfast.

Later, drive to Bharatpur to visit the red sandstone buildings of Fatehpur Sikri, followed by lunch at Laxmi Niwas Palace.

Afterwards, drive to Bharatpur railway station in order to connect with the scheduled train to Sawai Madhopur (also known as Ranthambore). On arrival, a representative will meet you at the station and escort you to your hotel, Vivanta Taj Sawai Madhopur.

Dinner is at the hotel.

DAY 5, December 03, 2020 | Ranthambore

Enjoy a game drive at Ranthambore National Park with your expert Naturalist to spot Royal Bengal Tigers and other wildlife animals in a shared jeep.

DAY 6, December 04, 2020 | Ranthambore – Jaipur

Drive to Jaipur and check in at the stunning Jai Mahal Palace.

In the evening, an Indian family will hold a cooking demonstration, followed by dinner at the same venue.

DAY 7, December 05, 2020 | Jaipur

Visit Digantar School, a beautiful concept for alternative education. It aims to transform a very conservative society into a more equitable one through its unique way of education. Guests may participate in a kite flying activity.

Lunch is at City Palace Café with a selection of Indian & Continental cuisine.

Visit the City Palace Museum that houses the Maharaja’s private collection of textiles and armory. Enjoy a curated tour of the private palace of the Royal family of Jaipur. Continue to Jantar Mantar, a massive sundial and a symbol of the Indian sciences of time and space. Learn how astronomy and astrology are intertwined with the Indian belief system.

DAY 8, December 06, 2020 | Jaipur

Begin with a photo-stop at Hawa Mahal, fondly called the ‘Palace of Winds’. Built for the harem of Sawai Pratap Singh, the palace facade enabled the royal ladies to watch processions below without being seen. Continue to Amber Fort, the ancient citadel of the Kachhawa clan, and then later visit Anokhi Museum.

Travel to Galta Temple, an ancient Hindu place of worship with sacred springs. This temple is dedicated to the Hindu monkey god, Hanuman, and monkeys live protected lives in this sanctuary.

In the evening, we will enjoy dinner at Bar Palladio, which serves a delicious mix of Indian and European dishes.

DAY 9, December 07, 2020 | Jaipur - Pushkar

Drive to Pushkar and visit Barefoot College. It is a grassroots organization that aims to improve village life and poverty. Barefoot’s sustainable solutions include solar power, education, clean water, professional development, and advocacy. On arrival, check in at The Greenhouse Resort.

DAY 10, December 08, 2020 | Pushkar – Jodhpur

Drive to Jodhpur and check in at Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace.

Enjoy a tour of Jodhpur, also known as the Blue City for its many azure buildings. Visit Mehrangarh Fort, standing in splendor on a perpendicular cliff, four hundred feet above the skyline of Jodhpur. This red sand stone fort is imposing, yet has a strange, haunting beauty that beckons. Admire the royal collection of textiles, armory, etc. Later we visit Jaswant Thada, a resplendent marble mausoleum. Often called the Taj Mahal of Marwar, it is dedicated to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II.

DAY 11, December 09, 2020 | Jodhpur

Take an excursion to Rohet for an interesting village safari. You will have an opportunity to meet the ancient Bishnoi tribes, see their culture, customs, and way of life. The Bishnoi people are worshippers of natural elements and believe in environmental conservation as a religion.

Eat delicious Indian cuisine for lunch at a restaurant called "Mihirgarh."

Visit the water conservation project of Jal Bhagirathi Foundation. The Foundation serves to regenerate community leadership and institutional support to strike a balance between environmental capacities and people’s needs to access of safe drinking water.

DAY 12, December 10, 2020 | Jodhpur - Mumbai
Jodhpur - Mumbai

Take your scheduled flight to Mumbai. Then check in at The Taj Mahal Hotel.

Explore the city’s classic sights, including the Gateway of India, an 85-foot-high arch with a design that reflects India’s Muslim and Hindu traditions. Visit the Prince of Wales Museum to view the extensive collection of fascinating 18th and 19th-century miniature paintings, elegantly carved ivory artworks, and a rich collection of Nepalese and Tibetan art.

Dinner is at the posh restaurant called The Table, which offers international cuisine.

DAY 13, December 11, 2020 | Mumbai

She began her career while working for the military at Fort Benning, Georgia. After spending time as an Executive Producer and Director of Communications for both the Kansas Departments of Transportation and Commerce, she started at PTPI.

She has a Bachelor's Degree in Communications and a Master's Degree in Diplomacy. She lives in D.C. with her husband and son.
