People to People International presents The Dwight D. Eisenhower International Speaker Series: Globalization and Its Future from a Kansas City Perspective

The United States has experienced the impact of globalization for decades and is running a persistent trade deficit. However, recent political events are likely to at least slow the pace towards a more globalized world. The news media is full of reports of changes in tariffs and new border adjustment taxes proposed by President Trump or Congress respectively.  While both policies sound similar, they are distinct policy choices. In any case, either policy by itself is unlikely to reverse the U.S. trade deficit.

Join People to People International and Dr. James Young at the Historic Washington Chapel CME Church at 1137 West Street in Parkville, Missouri on May 19th, 2017 at 6:30pm for a keynote presentation followed by a discussion on the immediate and long term impact of globalization to the Kansas City area.

This event is open to PTPI Members and non–members.
