People to People International presents The Dwight D. Eisenhower International Speaker Series: Sustainable Practices of Peace and Reconciliation from a Kansas City Area Perspective

The recent peace accord that was approved by the Government of Colombia, South America and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) has brought peace in the western hemisphere for the first time in history!

What are the lessons that both sides can implement to make sure that this peace deal is sustainable?

Dr. Fletcher Cox will join PTPI for the promotion of his book that highlights the case studies from around the world in which both sides of the conflicts have been able to successfully reconcile and move forward.
  
Join People to People International and Dr. Fletcher Cox at the Historic Washington Chapel CME Church at 1137 West Street in Parkville, Missouri on April 28th, 2017 at 6:30pm for a keynote presentation followed by a discussion on Sustainable Practices of Peace and Reconciliation from a Kansas City area perspective.

About the Speaker

Fletcher D. Cox
is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at William Jewell College. He specializes in international peace and security, civil wars and political violence, and peacebuilding in divided societies from a comparative perspective. He has six years of international development project management experience in the war ravaged areas Haiti and Africa. He has a PHD from the University of Denver and a Masters degree in International affairs and Religon at Harvard University.
